Create SharePoint List View (Classic)

This article explains how to create a list view in sharepoint, specifically to alleviate the problem of having a corrupted view and needing to duplicate the old one.

To start, click the three dots and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the dropdown menu. Select Create View.

If starting from scratch, select Standard. If you intend to copy an existing view, select from the list below.

Be sure to name your view, if copying from an original be sure the name is something distinct from your original profile so that you can delete the old one without confusion later.

Proceed below if new view is copied

Depending on your permissions within the list, these steps may need to be completed by a supervisor or IT Admin.

You'll want to delete your old view, and rename your new view to the proper title.

To do this, navigate to the ribbon up top and select List -> List Settings

Don't make any changes on the following page.
Simply scroll down until you find your old view and click on the name.

From within the view menu, click the delete button and affirm that you are sure you want to delete it.

To rename your new view, simply navigate back the way you did when deleting, and change the name in the View Name and Web Address Fields

And that's it. Your new view should be working as intended.
