These directions are some troubleshooting steps for when your Microsoft account is having issues authenticating. The most common error that we see when this is needed will look like this:
Please follow the instructions below in order to fix the issue:
1. Open settings by either searching for it in the search bar, or by right-clicking on the start menu and selecting "Settings."
2. Open the "Accounts" menu.
3. Open the "Access Work or School" menu.
4. Find the account with your name, then click the drop-down arrow to expand the options. Then, click on "Disconnect."
5. You will see this warning. Please click "Yes". This will NOT affect any files or data on your computer.
6. Once the account disappears from the menu, log out of your computer completely, then log back in again. You will be signed out of most Microsoft apps and may need to manually sign in again.
