1. Right click the folder that is empty/missing files. Select Properties.
2. Select the DFS tab at the top.
3. A list of servers will be show under "Referral list", the "Active" server is the one you're currently connect to.
Select a different server from the list and click Set Active button. Then click OK to confirm your changes.
Your device is now connected to the selected server. This may reset upon navigating out or closing the File Explorer window.
