Network Drive - Archived Files

If the file is archived, you will see a brown archive box or gray X in the file icon. An archived file resides on our secondary storage to free up space on our primary file servers. Archiving is done only on old files that havent been accessed in a couple of years.

When the file is accessed, it will be brought back to the file server you are accessing it from. It may take a few extra seconds depending on the file size.

Once the file is brought back, the brown box/gray x icon will disappear indicating the file now resides on the network share instead of the archiving server.
